3/16/2020 0 Comments March 19th, 2020Oki grade 1 students! Wow, do I ever miss each and every one of you. I am thinking of you every day and I hope that you are staying safe, healthy and having fun! Don't forget to read each day :) Look below at all the activities we did in the past few weeks. I sure hope you can get outside to learn on the land while you're at home! In the past few weeks, we have been learning on the land! It has been fun making snowmen, trying to identify animal tracks, climbing trees and singing/drumming our school song. Students practiced for the Round Dance we hosted at PFS. It was so much fun! Grade one students received a teaching about tipis (Niitoy-yiss) from Elder Alayna Manyguns. They made their own tipis with paper. They also were given sticks and string and were asked to make a tipi without any instruction.
2/3/2020 0 Comments The Five Senses - SightHere are three students exploring what it's like to have no sense of sight. They tried closing their eyes and writing their names. They needed the extra help from their hands to cover their eyes because not peeking is hard to do at this age :)
2/3/2020 0 Comments Fox and Rabbit (Wapos) TagWe sure love to get outside when the weather is nice!
Here we are playing a tag game where the fox is it and the rabbits have to run away. Quick, don't get caught!! 2/3/2020 Visualization |
